Ooh! that sounds cool. I would fail miserably at that though. I've been working on my novel for a few years and am only at 21k, and a good portion of that is backstory / notes and not the actual book

i'm what's called a plantser. i'm actually a pantser - i write by the seat of my pants - but i plan things a little bit at a time. the opposite is a planner - characters, plots, outlines, back stories. as a pantser, i make those up as i go. it's quite fun. XD

When I actually participate, I am also a plantser, but since I still don't have my own computer (and have no interest in hand writing) I will not be participating this year.

I plan to buy a laptop, probably sometime toward the end of December, but for now I am stuck borrowing my mom's on occasion. (Like right now)

ah, i gotcha. we all have laptops. in fact, we have my younger daughter's chromebook - it's a few years old (5, i think)... she now has a macbook. i wonder where we could sell it online? facebook, maybe? XD

Does your local area have a buy/sell/trade page on Facebook? Those are usually great places to offload stuff.
