Mercury Poisoning!
Default   #65
Kerian continued to watch her and then he picked her up gently as he done times before. He walked her outside and then brought out his wings and lifted off from the edge of the cliff. He effortlessly flew her back just on the outskirts of her village and landed.

He placed her on her good foot and then stepped back. "Your village is just that way." he said and offered her a long branch to lean onto for balance. "I hope that you do well. Keep safe, and watch out for boar," he said with a sad smile. He kissed her cheek softly and then as he watched her hobble off to her home, he slid into the shadows of the trees and waited until she was lost behind some bushes and then he turned to go to his own home.
"Smile, let the world wonder what you're up to."

Two Fish
The flight was just as she remembered, and just as it was in her dreams. The air against her skin was refreshing, ethereal, wonderful! She smiled, gasping in the misty air above the clouds. But it came to an abrupt end. She wanted to stay up here with Kerian, his scales beneath her, his wings around them. As her feet touched the ground, she was recalled to her roots. She needed to go home... Right.

She nodded, looking deeply into Kerian's eyes without a word. After he mentioned the boar, she couldn't handle it anymore. Tears spilled from her eyes like waterfalls, he kissed her cheek and she leapt forward as best she could, grabbing him and hugging him closely. She would miss her new friend...

"You too Kerian." Was all she could manage between panting breaths and sobs. Though it didn't make much sense in context, she was never good with goodbyes. She turned around, listening to him slink away into the recesses of her mind as she made her way to the opening of trees. Her village was before her.

"Moira!" A voice chimed in, breaking the veil of her silence. "Ey, Moira!" The voice grew closer, a man leaped over his stack of hay to run up to her shattered form. Moira wiped her face clean, revealing a smile. She was home. This was what she wanted, right?
