You sound to be getting almost double my FPS in minecraft, and that's with me having Optifine. So it certainly is doing something. though that may be you also have a better CPU. -shrug-

My main issue now is my PSU i think... it's a horrible cheap thing 800w, which is fine, but the leads on it are all super short and there's not many options.

make sure its also SLI/Crossfire ready

That's a thing? It needs more than just enough 6 pins to power the cards?

it needs 2 bc each gpu needs 1

Cheap PSUs don't usually hold up to sustained power draw -- it may be rated for 800W peak but it can't keep that up. A more expensive PSU with the same rating can actually sustain it.

I guess it's safer to go for a new PSU as well then. Any suggestions on a good one?
