Morbidly Obsessed
Default   #25
Not lifting her foot off of the gas pedal and not stopping for anything, she honestly might of taken out a few survivers as well as zombies and may God strike her dead for not being a good person and helping but right now surviving was the only thing on her mind. Pulling the now blood encrusted mini up the driveway of the huge old house, which was now considered one of the few historic Victorian houses still left standing in this part of town, even now the sight of how bad of shape the house was in made Chloe cringe, it badly needed a few coats of paint and who knows what else. The house had been her mother's pride and joy, from the widow walk on the third floor to the wrap around veranda, it had reminded her of Tara from Gone with The Wind, but more in a Gothic romantic sort of way.

When her mother had slowly slipped out of reality, the house had been the first thing that suffered the neglect and at that time, Chloe's worries had been how she would keep all of them alive. By the time her mother had finally, thank the lord, passed on, the house was the only thing left, Chloe had to sell many of the items they had owned just to get food on the table and clothes on their backs, something no teenager her age wouldn't have to worry about. While her friends were out on dates or picking dresses for proms, things Chloe once had dreamed about but had quickly been pushed back to second burner. It had taken over two years, some with help from Jayden's rent money, to replace most of the items that had to be sold off.

Putting the mini into park, Chloe wraps her fingers around the broom and pushes the door open, ready to bash any MFer that decided it had the balls to mess with her. Luckily, it seemed whatever infection or how the disease spread, she really needed to rent some of those zombie flicks after all of this, hadn't infected this area yet. Sliding the key in the old keyhole, unlocking the only lock on the door, Chloe pushes the old and heavily warped door open and slips inside, shoving the door shut and yanking the lock closed.

Dropping the keys to the mini on the table beside the door, there was no way that little mini would make it out of town in the first place, as much as Chloe loved that little car. It was one of the few cars that the previous owners had just left to rust in the backyard after selling the house, most of the cars back there had parts missing off them or didn't run. It had simply been pure luck, first finding the keys to the mini sitting on the first seat to discovering the car actually started..

Going through into the kitchen, before she even located Avalon and started to pack, she needed a plan and something a tad bit strong. Ruffling through the drawers, she locates the bottle of vodka and pours herself a glass. Drowning the glass down in one gulp, Chloe gazes out of the window over the sink into the backyard of the house and onto an old RV camper parked besides the frame of what had once been a nice little camaro coupe, that had been sitting back there for a number of years. And crazy as it sounded, Chloe didn't know if the RV would even start, much less than where the keys to it was but it was the only option she saw at the moment..
