My current tablet (Tooya X, China brand) has died recently. The USB cord is non-detachable and it's broken, so I need to get a new one soon.

I'm looking for something durable and practical which covers the basic needs of an art tablet (for example, pressure sensitivity). Hotkeys, touchscreens and touchpad (able to use hands) are not a necessity. I'd like to avoid Wacom's Bamboo as much as possible since I've had a bad experience with it in the past. My budget is flexible, but I won't pay for anything that's almost as much as a Cintiq.

So far, I'm looking into Ugee models (M708 and HK1060). I refer to this article but would like to hear what artists here have to say about their art tablets.
