I have a collection of about 80 some odd poems, I would be happy to post more. I just wanted to hear what you thought of these first.

Words Don't Hurt

They say that words cannot hurt people,
Words sprout fingers
Connect to palms
Solidified idea's
They grip and connect to the spine
Like the handle of a gun
Fingers pull the trigger of emotion
Mind converts and reloads with thoughts
Thoughts travel the throat
Escape the mouth that is the barrel
Moving at the speed of sound
Smoke billows from the eyes in tears
Tongue fries into ash
At the intensity of the words
As they travel
Words become bullets
Shotgun through the air
Breaking the protection
Atmosphere of lack of communication
They pierce through the ear
Wound the soul
Puncture the heart
Heart stops
Blood runs thin and dry
Breath leaves the veins
They tighten and squeeze
Incarcerate the heart and soul
Inside a tombstone of flesh.
And they say that words cannot hurt people.

Soulless Wayfarer

Soulless wayfarer;
If the crimson seas
Could quench your greed
For fools of gold
Entrenched in need
I would burn the earth
Beneath the sea
To boil and keep
Satisfaction from thee
To watch you wander
Is to let be known
That to be lost
Is not to be alone
That to be alone
Is nigh impossible
And the impossible
Is what the capable
Have yet to atone
You are a constant reminder
That beauty is a measurement
Of effort and betterment
That wonderful is a being
Not simply an accomplishment
That character is a victory
Not a gift or charity
To wander forever
Not always to endeavor
But to be found home
Would be farewell to the wanderer
I would pave your endless path
With chords of rhythm and rhyme
Pace and beat of dotted wrath
Movements in tune and on time
Perpetually patterned to design
And the sound of stones
And the sounds of feet
And where they meet
Somewhere in between
Your walk is like talk
That wrenches thoughts
From my mind
Squeezes juice
From the fruit
From the rind
Of the mind
The world becomes obvious
As you dance
Becomes glamorous
Life entranced
Becomes dangerous
And your chance
Dances away
To the tune of the jeopardous
You’re not everything to me now
But you’re something to me always
Your presence is worth wrapping
And song worth singing to convey
Fare thee well, wayfarer
To yours the price
Was well paid
But to whom
Was it paid?
And if paid
How fair
Was your way?

Piss

Physical representation
Of my own worthlessness
Emotional sadness
That is sobering
There’s never enough alcohol
To make sad feel happy
Can’t do the social job
Can’t be the person they see
In lying to them
I’m lying to me
When the world
Sucks down coffee
The people
They can all run free
It’s stuck behind them
What everyone can’t seem to be
And I’m stuck there with it
The dust sucked down like coffee
Behind all the people
Watching them be better than me
I am a waist of my own air
A detriment to my own sanity
A broken mirror before the man
A broken shell reflected in me
You’ve cried too much
When your eyes are stained with tears
When your face feels hollow and empty
When people forget how to care
And your breath is shallow with fears
And I’m left standing
Alone and thirsty
With only the company of here
