Have you ever seen any of the other movies from from Edgar Wright? They have a trilogy called The Cornetto Trilogy that includes The Worlds End, Hott Fuzz along with Shaun of the Dead. Wright wanted to have fun with a few genres of movie and this was the result. Movies with great laughs and actually interesting stories.
