Hidden and waiting for a chance. Just one little hint of an opening. Asui had never been a violent girl. Had never hated. Had never once felt sorrow, fear, or pain. Not in these ways. She always had family to fall back on, or the forest. Her save haven. She had been helping it grow and thrive since her family first came here. It was hers, and she knew it would protect her as much as she protected it.

The trees started to move. Not of her doing, but she felt it. Above her they were moving. Closing in on some of the men spread to thin. On the outer edges of the group. The witch cursed under her breathe and turned back towards her men. She spoke in an odd tongue for a moment and then went off like a crazed fool. Feeling the pull of her power Asui flinched. The forest was hers, and now it was coming alive to save her. Men screamed and more blood stained the ground. The witch was losing her forces.

"Don't run from the tree you fools! They're JUST TREES! Burn them! Cut them! This child is making fools of you!" her voice was commanding. The remaining men tried to fight back.... but to no avail. Each fell in time, and the forest fell silent.

Two remained.

The witch, and one far out of the way. Her mothers' body still waking around on the surface looking for her in the little shack. Once more. Like she would just appear.

"Asui darling? Its safe... Everyones gone now. Come out honey...." Her mothers voice sweet and caring. It hurt Asui so much to know that she wasn't really there. That it was the witch putting words into her mouth.

She wasn't sure what to do... But she couldn't stay down here forever.
