Dr. Grenda Locke

Who the hell is this creepy lady?: This is Dr. Grenda Locke (on the far right side), one of the rising stars of cryogenic medical research and a passionate scientist. She works and studies at the Medical Science Institute of Richwood, in San Francisco, in the year 2025. She is a French Canadian with all the bravery and cunning of a French Canadian, and an additional love for food. She may be a bit messy, and doesn't always mix well with other people, but as odd and unapproachable as she is, she has found a place with the other doctors in Lab 7 of the Institute, where she can be herself.

And what's her deal?: Dr. Locke works hard, often to an extreme extent causing her to loose sleep, hallucinate and needs someone there to regulate her work, so she doesn't go overboard. She is prone to scratching her head and pulling out her hair when she is frustrated, and so, as a result, her hairstyle is rather disheveled. She is close with Dr. West, in a way that may or may not be one-sided, as he typically can only tolerate her company to a certain degree. She is however fascinated by him, and admires his work. Her work however, she believes, is more important. Dr. Locke is always looking for a means to cryogenically engineer a means to extend the lifespan of humankind, and has a weird fascination with refrigerators and coolers. She struggles to do almost anything unfamiliar to her without some extensive research on the subject first, and then conducting the task from beginning to end. This is how she learned to make chicken stew, by actually catching and killing a chicken before preparing it and then cooking it. Dr. Locke can be a little uncomfortable and disturbing, as she has taken risks before, has gotten away with several serious crimes, has a twisted sense of morality, collects insects and makes art out of bones and bugs, is kind of a necrophiliac, has issues with alcohol, and is highly judgmental of others. Despite this, she has several less dangerous and disturbing habits, such as hiding food to snack on for later, watching horror movies when she can't sleep, going to gothic/death/black/power metal concerts, decorating for holidays she chooses to celebrate, researching burning questions she sometimes has, and going skating.

Fun Facts: Dr. Locke has a twin sister who is a photographer and looks nothing like her, being they're fraternal twins. Dr. Locke is a bit of a kiss-up to other older medical doctors, and stalks them from time to time, to learn their hobbies and interests. Her favorite animal is the jellyfish. She hates rats and other pests with a passion and often takes a little too much joy in hunting them down and killing them, wanting their bones for her projects. She has a fear of losing her work and all her research, as well as a fear of being unable to use her brain consciously. Dr. Locke doesn't often drink, because she is a major lightweight and who knows what she'll get up to while intoxicated. Lastly, she loves Halloween-time because it's a time of harvest, food, treats, and can be her creepy, sanity-absent self without restraint. Her hair is dyed purple, and her eyes, well, they're contacts she insists on wearing. Her real eye color is black, while her hair was a light blonde.
