Perhaps it's the fact that I often associate numbers with colour combinations. For example, 0 is white, 1 is black, 2 is green, 3 is red, 4 is cyan, 5 is blue, 6 is orange, 7 is purple, 8 is brown, 9 is lavender, 10 is black and white, 11 is dark gray, 12 is black and lime green, 13 is black and red, 14 is black and cyan, 15 is black and cobalt, 16 is black and orange, and so on...
