Struggle

Struggle.
Harder, harder
Faster, faster
falling down a great hole.
Unable to climb back up.
Trying, struggling.
Fighting all your might...
just to grasp something.
To climb up.
Out of this whole.
So black, pitch black.
Unable to see your own hands.
But..
But then suddendly,
out of no where, a light.
A light can be seen.
Faintly.
But growing brighter,
with every passing second.
Until you have to shield your face,
from the brightness.
A sign of hope, of luck.
Your struggle is over.
Your hard efforts all paid off.


Note: I wrote this because I was inspired by Nikki Sixx's attempt at kicking his drug habit. I was reading his book and this just started to come to me.
