@ Kad: I used to work at a library so "police procedural" is what the genre is called. There are now different categories of mysteries: some of which are craft mystery, cozy mystery etc etc. I have a friend that reads mysteries exclusively and she can rattle off all the sub-categories. When she was talking about "craft mysteries" I told she was saying "crap mysteries' because to me that's what they are.

@ Trystan: I am not a big fan of series. I knew Hyperion had a sequel and I am enjoying it, but I'm ready to get done. Now I find that there are two more books! (Endymion and The Rise of Endymion)
