The only reason their color coded is really so that you can see which is what.
Ice & water: Blues and whites
Heat & Fire: Reds and Oranges
Earth & stone: Browns
Storms and thunder: purples

We dont have a set uniform like the rangers do, aslong as you have hair extensions and have atleast one of the colors that you represents your disaster. :) Mix and match however you want.
