I don't want to burst your bubble but they may not do it justice.
First movies for books tend to kill the books.
I mean; Look at Eragon for example.
The book was amazing and the movie had people wanting to burn it and the person that made it.
The damn dragon had FEATHERS! ...I mean COME ON!

I haven't read the dragon riders of pern books but I hope that they do it justice for you~
