Note: I'll refer to waking up in different ways based on the sensations.
Signs of Danger
The Conditions
It used to be that I was always a victim in my dreams. Every time I remembered a "dream" it was a nightmare where I was hunted, killed, and tortured...I always lost the fight for survival. My first means of fighting back I can't even remember. But now in any dream I always have some abilities at my disposal. However first I will list limitations that this power operates on.
My Rare Abilities
Actually these were cool but they are not regularly occuring...
Attempting to break abilities up into categories. Also note the "how" of an ability can be different. For example my ability to manipulate what people see could be magic (wizard) or psychic (mutant).
Lucid Abilities
Things I can do because I know it's a dream. Most lucid dreamers probably do these things too.
Morphing Abilities
Elemental Abilities
This one will have separate spells/techniques I have done with earth, air, fire, water, and electricity.
Misc. Abilities
Visions: This is a passive knowledge of the future that usually forms as a gut instinct but every now and then I'll live out the near future then it will all reset from just a few seconds before the event leading to my death.
Shadow Blending: I can't really turn invisible to hide. But I can draw nearby shadows close and over my body to keep out of sight. The problem is I must be in a vulnerable position flat against a surface, which is a wide area to cover for only a certain amount of time. Sometimes shadows like that are suspicious as well.
Shadow Crawling: Essentially I lose my material body and become one with the shadows. I can easily traverse any surface so long as shadows are connecting. The darker the shadows the easier it is to remain "submerged". The spell may fail due to time, no movement, being stepped on, or shadows not being dark enough.
1000 Needles: These needles won't necessarily originate from my hand but to use it I have to make a throwing motion with my right hand's fingers like: \||-- Hopefully you get what I mean. It can be casted quickly- the problem becomes how many times I can use it and if I'll get hit in my own crossfire. There seems to be a limited number of needles but they replenish slightly if I chain cast this spell repeatedly. The unfortunate cost of doing so is my vision slowly going dark until I can only see a narrow tunnel in front of me.
Energy Absorption: Different from the absorption power mentioned in the next section. If someone shoots some form of pure energy at me I can store it for my own use. Electricity is the only one I have been able to absorb if it has already hit my body but I'll still suffer effects. Energy best if absorbed through my hands but I can only absorb a little at a time. This then requires alternating between absorption and redirection.
Energy Redirection: Redirection can be used both passively (away from me) or aggressively (back at the aggressor). How energy is redirected depends on the type of energy and just how much is coming at me. Sometimes require a open body position to send it away or a closed one.
Flight/Glide/Hover:Flight is only useable in the most rare circumstances. Apparently whenever I'm fighting some epic boss although in some settings I can use it for fun. Controlling my altitude is another thing altogether. Glide is an easy one and commonly used in conjunction with my high jumping ability. Hover is only possible with a strong wind or if I'm trying to float above the ground. Sometimes floating around as opposed to walking is possible but it takes a lot of focus for not enough speed.
Ghosting: I make myself intangible and allow things to pass through me, although sometimes energy based attacks can still hurt and force me into the material plane again. This spell only as long as I can inhale air. I can also use this to move around my opponent in a way similar to teleporting but much more reliable. The problem though is because I'm inhaling and exhaling so much I may wake up.
Sleeping Touch: In rare cases physical contact isn't required although this is the only spell that requires words: "Sleep". The victim must pass a will check to resist the spell. It has a great chance of working on humans while only decreasing in effectiveness by small percentage. A bonus is it can be cast quickly and repeatedly.
Reflect/Barrier: When being assaulted either physically, or with too much energy to redirect, a barrier is the best option. But I can only keep it up for a second so timing is crucial otherwise a sustained attack with break it should I attempt to hold it longer. I can willingly break the barrier and attack someone with the shards. However all it does is buy me a moment of time. Usually enough to follow up with a more powerful spell.
Teleport: A thus far unreliable ability most of the time. If I will myself to a spot I may end up there or not. Distance is a big variable, as well as being able to physically see that location. Teleportation is much like Nightcrawler's, every time it works I must hold my breath between points.
High Jump: One of the earliest abilities I attained. I basically crouch like i"m going to jump. The lower I go and the longer I crouch the higher up I go. Landing where I intend to land is very difficult. The highest I've gone is probably about 7 stories high.
Firearm Enchaner: Bullets lose a little speed but glow blue and gain power. Interestingly the accuracy of the bullets are slightly more random while gaining a slight homing effect. I cannot be in contact with the ground when using this power. Ammo is infinite but clips still have to changed.
Psychic Appearance: Using powers of suggestion any biological being that sees me will see me for what I what them to see. However if I try to impersonate a female it usually doesn't work while impersonating a dog works perfectly. It has a slight chance to fail against humans and a greater failure rate with non-humans. This is also good for confusion as I once turned into Spongebob.
Panic Tornado: When I can't see anything around me I'll twist and jump in place while kicking my legs out and swing my arms in a circular fashion. Sometimes used to progress little by little when surrounded by enemies. There are weak points to hit but they are difficult. Wind-based, can be coupled with water, energy, melee, and ranged weapons. Drawback: I get dizzy and start to "fade back to reality" after enough rotations.
Holy Static: This spell has to be charged from my right hand (where I have more control) while standing still. It is really powerful but doesn't get far if shot. The spell also "short circuits" if my hand comes in contact with who I am hitting so timing is made even more crucial. The light looks wispy like a nebula but has arcs of white electricity around it. However I rely on there being "light" to draw from. The more light there is around the more powerful. Unfortunately there often isn't enough light to justify it's use. Once I did use a woman's love for her dead husband to kill a demon though.
