I don't get the whole "girls are too weak for martial arts" opinion. I mean, yeah maybe someone can indeed kick a tiny, untrained little princess to the moon and further... but that's exactly why she will profit from learning how to properly block and evade blows and how to use the opponent's physical strength against them.
