I enjoy working for my items. It gives me a deep sense of satisfaction and makes me love all of my items so much more. I mean, donations are wonderful, of course. So are gifts. But it's just. Not. Quite. The same. I would rather work hard and have part of the cost paid for by another than to have something just handed to me. But of course, it's rude to reject gifts, so I can't very well do that without good reason, either.
