As Jack heard the scream, he ran even harder, but to no avail as he tripped over a piece of wood, or at least that's what he thought it was. Along with the pain, guilt swam through him for no apparent reason as he looked up to see more pieces of the plane, fire was visible on one piece, but he didn't see anyone over there either. He was tired. Everything was too much for him to take in as he felt like swamping where he stood. His tears stung his eyes and made him feel even more pathetic... He didn't want to stand and save anyone. He was scared, and nothing scared him more than looking for a life to save and finding a dead body instead. He didn't want them to die, but he didn't want to find them dead either... He didn't know what to do as his adrenaline ran dry and pain lashed into his shoulder. He writhed in pain.
