He tossed and turned when he came back to a state of lucidness and finally awoke to the overwhelming cold that had taken over his body. He did not move from the blankets nor did he make any gesture to alert any one he was awake. His eyes traced the lines of the wooden walls till it came to a window and the darkened sky beyond. His attention was drawn to a thump thump thump thump... a strange sound that was some what like a scraping noise and more thumping. It brought his head great pain to hear the noises. He winced.
