Yes I have used the windows task manager.

AVG only eats some CPU (not as much as firefox) when scanning. It wasn't scanning. If was the Firefox process. D:

And I always have what I run normally running. Messenger, browser, and avg (not scanning). I rarely run anything else.

And it's still firefox when it shouldn't be...and disabling the AVG toolbar like firefox suggested doesn't do a thing.

But either way, I now have Google chrome which eats less cpu.
