Used in that contect it means an excess amount. ;) Sorry about the ancient lingo.
It is a good book, historical fiction told from a 10 year old's point of view. And I do understand losing yourself in a book. I do that whenever it is a really good book and sometimes I even pick up odd pieces of personality from book character.
Ranbling is allowed and even welcomed by me. :D
