Jurinjo, I would say that the problem lies in your mother and church not respecting your own beliefs. While it may be that you don't believe homosexuality is a sin...they most likely do.

No one believes exactly the same things as others, so a lot of the time people may have to accept that someone they care about (as I certainly hope your family cares about you) might believe in something that they consider to be incorrect. When religion is involved, it can lead to trying to save the person they care about. Since they believe homosexuality is a sin, they don't want to see you damning yourself to Hell, for instance.

This might sound strange, but I don't believe in Hell myself. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so we might be saved." If God is willing to give up his Son (who is also himself), why would he let any of us go to Hell? Just my own personal belief.
