He was going to wait her out or even retreat from the water. But after about five or so minutes of waiting he sighed finally. This did not mean she won, but if he didn't give in a little they'd be here all day. He moved a little to get into the deeper water before disappearing from site for a few seconds. He was a dryad after all.. this was a natural ability.

He emerged from the soil directly under where she was grabbing her foot for a second. If he startled her it was payback for dragging him here. He had half a mind to do something else but didn't he wasn't quite that bold.
