[Auspicious Happenings]

Scarlett woke to a terrifying chill creeping up her spine.
Her eyes slid open, and she realized that her camp fire had gone out...
Or had it?
Why didn't anything look familiar?
Thats when she realized she was not at all where she had gone to sleep.
In fact, she was being dragged slowly through a rough patch of something white and brittle by something that did not look at all human.
Instinct told her to reach for her saber.
Which would have been great if it had been anywhere near her.
But ,as it was, her weapon was no where in sight.
So she did the next best thing.
She screamed her lungs out.
