One question: If a parent adopt a child, does that mean one they adopt will forever be their child? Or is there a "graduate" time where the child can independently get around Trisphee on their own?

I want to start adopting again, but I also don't want to get stuck with an inactive child, or a child that is fully able to get around Trisphee by themselves.
