He wasn't really concerned for anyone else being in the house, never crossed his mind till she spoke that it was her father. That would be rather cute.. her brother was killed by dark elves and he didn't know about her mother being as well. That would hardly end well and if Brishen was like her father then it wouldn't end peacefully either.
"I'm not suppose to even be here, damn dragon" he glanced over to it an it seemed to act like it didn't know what he was talking about. "I do need to get back though.. your going to end up getting me in trouble" He laughed slightly, when was he worried about getting into trouble.. it'd be more that Madaes wouldn't leave him alone till he spilled where he ran off to.
Wrapping his arms around her he frowned a little when she brought the outfit up once more. "don't get use to it, im not of the royal guard so like hell it's getting worn again" He wasn't against dressing up if it was required.. he just disliked flaunting that these were the guards colors when he wasn't one. Though he could probably easily enough get into the royal guard if he wanted to. But that'd require him following orders.
"Suppose to yes.. I had stepped out for air anyway when the dragon came along" He sighed a little, he would rather just stay here instead of dealing with whatever formalities there were. Also the fact he'd be stuck in this outfit longer then he really liked to be. Though he didn't get to say anything further as Judith went on to speak again.
"If I can manage I'll come back." Though currently he didn't know that Madaes had no intention of letting him get out of going to the celebration the King was going to hold, then again it was going to be open to all so he could probably cross paths with Judith there. He smirked a little seeing her ears drop after asking. "stop worrying I'll be back, even if I have to sneak away from Madaes I'll manage to get back" He was just joking, really Madaes might just let him go if it wasn't anything too important.
He was about to tell her he should get going now but she seemed to have something else to say that she paused in saying before finishing it. He looked at her as she spoke, had he heard her right? "Judith..." He didn't seem to say anything else, she couldn't just say that could she, hell she didn't mean it.
"You can't mean that, you'd never get a moments peace that can't be what life you want. Hell I could be killed any day from the line of work I do." He laughed slightly before going on to try and convince her otherwise, sure he had asked her to stay with him someday.. but he didn't think about what if she accepted that offer. He started to go on to say something else but looking into her eyes.. she was serious about what she said.
He wasn't sure really what to say to her. He probably should have been happier that she said something like that but he wasn't really sure if she was fucking with him or not till he looked at her eyes trying to read her. His ears went back a little before dropping, this was a little awkward for him, it was almost too easy to tell that he was flustered to say the least with her response.
"I... " He sighed a little before trying to speak again, he needed to get a hold of himself it wasn't that damn big of a deal. "I have to leave, we should talk again later.. about this" He finally managed to say after breaking eye contact with her and stepping back a little, no one had ever said such a thing to him before he wasn't sure how to even act towards her now.
He bowed his head a little before leaving her, he wasn't meaning to run away but he couldn't answer her. Not properly anyway, he needed some time to think about what she just said. She was being serious he could tell.. but maybe he should deter her from her current thoughts. She'd never be happy if she did stay with him.
The dragon titled it's head after Rhyldrin left, the dragon seemed confused seeing the sudden change in emotion from Rhyldrin who was normally rather blunt and straight forward about everything, it was odd seeing him worked up over something. Let alone the fact that he seemed down right stumped on what to do or what to say.
~~~~~~~~~~
She nodded a little at the idea of joining him, she was glad he liked her idea of rotating the celebration every other year. It would be good to assist everyone in the change. Not that it was really needed most were long tired of this war.
She allowed him to take her hand again as she nodded once more "yes, my apologies I was just seeing to a certain matter" She was sure the man noticed one of her escorts were missing, though she didn't know it was one that he knew from past events. "lead the way lord Bryon" She smiled ever so sweetly at him before glancing at Madaes who nodded before walking off to see if he could go find Rhydrlin.
~~~~~
It didn't take long before Madaes did run into Rhyldrin he was on his way back anyway. Though Madaes didn't say anything at first noticing that something seemed to be on Rhyldrin's mind. "geese you look like you were just shot" He laughed before grabbing Rhyldrin and making him walk faster towards the palace. "your lucky they didn't finish this little meeting just yet. Though I think the Queen has some words for you" He smirked a little knowing Rhyldrin wasn't really in that much trouble.
Though he stopped before rejoining the one royal guard still left seeing as they sent the other off to pass the word on about peace and about the celebration as well. "you've not said a word are you ok?" Madaes was really asking it wasn't like Rhyldrin to have no come back or to just silently take anything Madaes said he knew that even when they were children.
"huh?" He snapped back to the world around him instead of being caught up in his thoughts. "tsk I'm fine, I just went for a walk you know damn well a cramped building isn't where I like being" He said before walking past Madaes and joining the other knight that was left. Though he did notice the look he got from the Queen.
Madaes smirked a little before lazily putting a hand on Rhyldrin's shoulder "I don't think she's that mad, but today's a good day so you might be lucky. Besides.. she better not do anything to you" Rhyldrin looked at Madaes with a odd look as to why he'd say such a odd thing.
"I made a few bets with the light elf guards around here.. they were bragging about who could handle the most drinks.. and well we'll just say your my ticket to winning." Rhyldrin looked unimpressed by this sudden offer "ever think I might not stay for the festivities? " Madaes smiled all the more "oh all i have to do is tell the Queen.. I'm sure she wants you to stay" He grinned still but it was a evil looking one, Rhyldrin knew this was a lost battle.
