"Oh," he said as the boy answered his question. Roy really wasn't interested in what he was cooking, he simply wanted to speak to him even if it involved something that he didn't care much about. He was quite an awful cook, he had hired some men aboard his ship to cook for him and the other men. "I'm a rather horrible cook," he said then laughed weakly. "I had to hire some men to cook for me and my men. I don't even remember the last time that I had cooked. It was many years ago, that's all that I can recall." he laughed again then looked up at the boy.

Something inside of him stirred, he could see that Damaris would uncomfortable with him being so close. Roy took a step back reluctantly attempting to make Damaris feel more comfortable. "You wouldn't happen to be for hire would you?" he asked then smiled.
