[Wicked]

Simone startled awake. Coughing violently.
She squinted through the smoke into the face of a strange cat.
She aimed a questioning sound at the new feline.

"Prrr?"

So many questions contained in that one small noise.
Who are you? Are you helping me?
Can we get out safely? Where's the window? What do we do?

Simone's eyes were wide, she was terrified. She began panting lightly
and her sharp little teeth were slightly bared.

Not in a threat to the stranger, simply a grimace of worry and confusion.

There was a terrible groaning sound above them.
The heat was causing the ceiling to warp, buckle and bend
but the silvery feline didn't know any of that.

To her mind the shop sounded alive and in pain.

Simone flattened her ears to her head and tried to shut out the sound.
