Dark hoped by 'these things' Alexander meant the berries but he had a feeling it was his command that Alexander was talking about. Dark was a bit reluctant to command his prince but if the prince wished it he would do it. He relized Alexander was still holding his hand but he did not bring it up. Dark nodded to Alexander, "I will attempt not to do it again." Dark noticed that Alexander still had a basket in hand though Dark's had disappeared. Dark used used his only free hand to grab more berries and deposited most of them in the basket but keeping one he carefully held to Alexander's lips.
