Lev is...experiencing management issues. He is harboring a demon of hunger that was actually the Lions of Tsavo. It feeds off flesh. it gained power from eating the corpse if a Saint, but was hit by a grenade designed for eradicating spirits while doing so. He just believes himself to be the son of the Lord. So he's trying to follow in his footsteps, but too long without flesh drives him into maddening hunger. So, he's a man possessed by an insane demon who has the powers of a saint.
