Even in his resting state he knew someone was near, though he wasn't going to make any movements just yet. They didn't seem to notice him so why start something. The person was about 40 paces away so it was a safe enough distance so long as he wasn't discovered. Though his luck was going to run out soon, as if he wasn't already taking a risk by being this close to the enemies camp.

He had no real motive, sure he enjoyed killing but that hardly meant that's all he did with his free time. Also it didn't seem like a smart move to go about killing the patrols with the main force of this camp so close. The person that had been walking about seemed to stop, this eased his thoughts of being discovered a little as he kept both eyes closed. His breathing remained faint though he did move a hand to rest on one of the daggers he had with him just in case.

Little did he know the bigger enemy wasn't even the person that was walking near by... it was a smaller creature. A small furry creature was making it's way up the tree to be near Rhyldrin. The beast had been tracking down it's keeper this whole time, being use to being left behind. It sat there clinging to the side of the tree a few inches from Rhyldrin and making little to no sound as it seemed to think of what to do. It's white fur made it stick out against the tree bark, the small wings that seemed useless as they laid flat against it's back had crimson colors scales covering them till they met up with the fur, the webbing of the wings were a almost transparent white.

Apparently Rhyldrin had been too focused on the stranger walking near by so he never noticed the hatchling that had come to his side. The creature made a sudden high pitched screech loose near his ear, it sounded fearful in it's cry seemingly confused by the elf had not moved when he had approached. The sudden noise was something he wasn't expecting as he missed his footing for a second before catching himself before dropping to the ground. Standing after he had landed he rubbed one ear before glaring at the tree watching the small creature climb down the trunk. He was still a bit groggy and having nearly fallen from a tree hadn't helped matters.

The creature cooed lightly staying on the side of the tree as it looked over at Rhyldrin. It didn't seem to understand why he was getting such a look from it's keeper. Though it was still very young and about that time Rhyldrin really regretted keeping the thing, this was going to get him killed.

After his thoughts came back to him he quickly drew both blades from their sheaths as he stood there with his ears back, the noise probably tipped off whoever was near-by. 'tsk... stupid dragon..' he hissed under his breath as the creature moved from the tree and quickly climbed to sit on his shoulder. Though it knew very well what it's keeper was doing by this point as it remained quiet this time around.

For the time being he didn't see anyone, though he knew he heard someone not moments ago walking the forest floor was good at giving people away. But it bothered him he didn't pay closer attention to the direction. 'just what i need a scout spotting me here and telling the commander in charge of that camp.. heh' though t would probably draw the leader of the camp out at the idea of a sole dark elf this close and knowing most generals he'd probably want to show his troops how strong he was by killing the intruder.
