During the night he had ventured back towards where he had crossed paths with that strange girl. The one person that had given him such a close call.. his life was in her hands for a few long moments. It's annoyed him the longer he thought about it, he had let himself get careless thinking it was just a female. Stupid on his part, he thought as he paced the area trying to get his mind off of whatever was bothering it. 'Why do I keep thinking that I should remember something' He was frustrated with this as he left the area finding that staying here wasn't helping his thoughts at all.
Though he was hardly done with the girl... he could toy with her a bit longer if he ran across her again, the odds were they'd send her into a similar area. He knew the direction of the light elf camp and was dangerously close to it in his traveling through the night. It was just a small camp, he counted maybe 50-70 heads strong.. a few more then he could take on by himself that was certain. Though he wasn't looking to start a fight just yet either.
Quickly leaving the area he at least had a better idea of what he could expect in this area.. that meant they'd have at least ten patrols during the day a few scattered about at the night hours. The rest was just to prevent dark elves from gathering a few units together to take out the encampment.
As it grew closer and closer to being dawn he made sure to cover enough distance to prevent any patrols from crossing his path so he could rest during the morning and peek hours of the day. Though this was a little risky on it's own, he probably should have abused the cover of the Queen's men for a bit longer. But he was use to sleeping with one eye open so to speak.. he'd just have to watch himself.
Though he did put enough distance between the light elf encampment and himself to prevent the normal patrol range from crossing his path.. if they sent anyone to just walk the forest that didn't mean they wouldn't run into him. He did try to pick a spot out of the way and in a darker section of the woods. Aside from that he was staying up in the tree, like hell he was about to sleep on the ground, though the tree put him at a disadvantage if a archer spotted him. But that was a risk he'd have to deal with if it came to it.
The light elves and dark elves had a few small skirmishes before day break came around, some close to the camp of the light elves seeing as Rhyldrin did pass that information along. It'd be wise for the light elves to move the camp.. but they probably wouldn't not with the general of the camp being Brishen.. his name even had meaning over in the dark elves area. He was well known for being ruthless and taking captives to get information out of them before killing them in some brutal way.
Most stayed clear of the camp just to avoid crossing blades with Brishen... Rhyldrin thought things a little differently, being this close to your enemy kept him on his toes and it was also the last place they'd probably look for a sole dark elf being a few mere miles from their base. He'd hardly care if he crossed this so called dark elf slayer.. he'd test the rumors to see if his strength was able to hold true.
