"Well did you find the missing scout?" Was the greeting he got upon returning to a small group of dark elves that were gathered in what seemed to be the middle of no where. "no... but I think I found that archer that's been picking us off" He grinned a bit. The others questioned the look he was getting on his face.

"But that's the last time I'm going out under your orders... " He glared at the one that was about to talk. "I'm no lap dog of the Queen I have no desire to get pulled into this war... I move to my own accord." The one stood up from here he had been sitting as he walked over to Rhyldrin and pushed him against a tree. "Your turning your back on your own people when your one of the best fighters we have next to the Queens own?" He growled at him as he spoke.

"Tsk I'd release me if I were you" Rhyldrin warned him before forcing his hand from his shirt collar easily enough. "I'm not one of the Queens lapdogs I refused that off.. As i've stated many times I'm a blade for hire if the light elves gave me payment I'd not have a second thought for working for them" His eyes were cold as he watched the man who had just forced his back against a tree. "Now if your done trying to tell me what I can't do"

The man glared at him before turning his back to him "Don't expect help then, though im sure you'll be back once the Queen hears of this" the man grinned a bit before turning back again though his grin dropped as he was met wit a blade that was mere inches from his nose. "If she wants me to follow orders she better issue them herself and it'll be after I've drawn my last breath... that or she better bring her wallet.."

The man backed down though he wasn't happy about it. Rhyldrin quickly re-sheathed the sword on his back before he turned to walk away. The man was more then pissed at the sudden outburst. "Grr! What the hell if he thinking, we're in the middle of war and he picks now to declare that he doesn't give a damn" He slammed his fist against a tree before returning to the middle of the group that was still gathered.

Really he was just tired of being sent on such missions, send him somewhere to put his skills to use but damn all the search missions that never came back with good news. He hardly seemed worried, and he wasn't so long as the queen had the war to deal with he knew he was safe enough. Also him and the Queen went a ways back.. his father was the head medic of the capital after all. She'd probably let him do as he pleased for now, really the war was in a stalemate as it was. Both sides pushing back and forth there wasn't any end in sight.

This break off from the military command also allowed him to hunt down that little flower he had run into that day. He'd have to watch himself though she was quick to draw and fire that was certain. She had nearly gotten him.. even with that he wanted to keep with his little game. It was a risk that was rather exciting to him. If only he knew why his mind kept eating away at him that he should remember something.

He didn't have time to worry about that now, or that's what he thought as he walked forward into the night. There was almost no fear for dark elves in the night's shadow, light elves couldn't see in the dark so the only way they could walk at night was with a torch.. and that was easy enough to see from a distance.

The two light elves ensured that the girl got back to camp safely enough, though the story was a bit far fetched they left it alone. The dark elf she had run into today had a reputation of his won with the light elves... Though no reports that he ever let one live, it was also the very one her brother was seeking out from unfinished business from years ago. Though he didn't openly speak about the elf his men knew what they were looking for.But rumor was the one he wounded as a child was long dead, but her brother seemed to doubt this for some reason.
