A Light Elf having dark hair was a rare occurrence, it was just like a Light Elf being born with darker skin or a Light Elf being born with darker eyes. It didn't happen very often, Light Elves usually shared the same characteristics. Fair skin, eyes as white as snow and light hair. Though those who were born with different features were not shunned. Other Light Elves envied them because they were different. Judith's mother was pleasantly surprised when her daughter was born with dark hair. As a young child her mother would brush it and whenever Judith wanted her hair braided her mother would tend to her hair. Her brother was also born with dark hair like hers. Though he would make a fuss whenever his mother wanted to tend to it.
Judith flinched when he finally pulled his blade away from her neck, though he seemed to take his time to get off of her. She let out a heavy breath, relieved to still have her life. Judith found it odd that this Dark Elf was letting her go. Only moments ago he had felt so strongly about killing her, when she had looked into his eyes she saw nothing but a killer thirsting for blood. Judith had encountered some Dark Elves that fought with her even when they lost their weapons in a struggle with her. They had tried to use anything to gain a upper hand, to kill her. She remembered the feeling on ones hands around her neck. Though this one had seemed like those others at first, it seemed as if he had become an entirely different man even if it was for a short time. There seemed to be some good in him.
"I don't have a choice," she said to his comment about going home. When she had tried to convince the elders otherwise they dismissed her and told her that she would be good on the battlefield. She wondered if they had sent her there as a cruel joke because of how much trouble she had caused as a small children. Though maybe they were just stubborn and thought that skill could push someone to be a good fighter. Judith looked behind her when she too heard the shouting, they were familiar voices. When she turned back all she could hear was the Dark Elf running away.
"I'm fine," she said to the first man, she stood resisting any help from the two. Judith brushed off her clothes that had become dirty from falling to the ground. "I fell," she said when one asked what had happened. "I fell and hit my head quite hard, I don't know how long I have been out." she added then finished brushing off the dirt from her clothes. The two didn't seem too convinced that that had happened, though the didn't question her further. "It's a good thing that you two came along, even if I were still out. I don't want to know what could have happened to me if the enemy found me first." her eyes wandered over the surrounding area, wondering if the Dark Elf was still close by watching the three. Then she looked back at the two men, they seemed a bit on edge. "Let's go back to the camp," she said and pushed past them. Judith wouldn't tell anyone what had truly happened.
