"We live not too far in the forest," she said the the man. "My daughter likes to wander off quite often, I should know better by now. She gets it from me, I did the same thing as a child." Judith was about to apologize again then leave but before she could speak again the other man said her name. Vaden looked up at his mother surprised as well. "Mother, why does that man know your name?" he asked and tugged at her dress. Sophie would have asked as well but she decided that she had already annoyed her mother enough.

Judith studied his face for a moment then spoke. "I'm sorry, I-" she was about to say that she didn't know him but then her eyes fell on a familiar scar. "Rhyldrin?" she asked, her voice shook. Judith fell silent, she wasn't sure what else she could say. Vaden tugged on her dress and Sophie also looked up at her mother's stunned face. "What's wrong?" Sophie asked then looked at the man. "Is he bad?" she asked. Judith looked down at her daughter and smiled. "No, he isn't bad." she said then squeezed her daughter's hand.
