Judith knew that if Rhyldrin stayed for any longer she would begin to beg him to stay with her and she couldn't do that. She wouldn't allow her emotions to stop the word of peace. She wouldn't be the one to stop such a thing. Especially considering it was something that she always wanted since she was a young girl. Judith knew that when Rhyldrin left everything would be completely different. When he stood and began to dress she did so as well. Judith reached for the night gown on the floor next to the bed and pulled the night gown over her body. She tugged at the end trying to make it cover her a little bit more. Though like earlier it didn't help much. She sat back down on the bed.

Rhyldrin was right when he said that staying would cause her trouble with the king. Though she wanted to tell him that if he returned she would run away with him. She hesitated to say such a thing then decided that it would be best not to. If the queen's daughter accepted his offer then Rhyldrin would be a married man. Judith decided that if the king asked for her hand in marriage then she might accept. She could never be with Rhyldrin again like this once he left. "Thank you, Rhyldrin." she managed to say. There wasn't much to say and if she said too much then she feared it would distract him from leaving. Judith could only think about thanking him for what he was about to do. "I love you." she whispered as he embraced her once last time. Her arms wrapped around him and she squeezed him tightly. She reluctantly let go of him.

When Rhyldrin left her she closed the window and the drapes. She seemed to be dragging her body to the bed, she had the urge to stand by the window but it was late and she needed her rest. When she crawled under the covers Vrine greeted her with a friendly chirp. She took him in her hands and brought him close to her face. Judith planted a kiss on his nose and let out a heavy sigh. Judith resisted the urge to cry, she knew that if she did it would only give her a headache and Vrine would whimper and crawl all over her trying to figure out what was wrong. Though the little dragon wasn't dumb, he probably would know why she was crying. She reached over and put out the lit candle finally. She wondered how long it would take her to sleep.
