( this was so bad omg. don't shoot me. )

It took Judith some time before she finally reached the main town. It had taken her longer due to her lack of weapons. She did have the dagger that she had stolen from Uldric but it wasn't much when an enemy had much more to fight with. A majority of the time she took cover and hid from any enemy soldiers, she even hid from Light Elves. Judith wasn't sure if anyone back at the main city had heard of the events yet. It scared her to think that she might be wanted for crimes that she did not commit. Yes, she had killed Uldric, but if she explained herself then everything would be fine. If they asked her about Brishen then she would say that a Dark Elf had killed him, but she would act as if it were just another Dark Elf not the one that Brishen had been after.

When Judith arrived at the front gates she was in horrible shape. All of the movement had re-opened some of her wounds and her color had drained from her face. The lack of food and water wasn't helping her either and she had gathered a collection of cuts from travelling here on foot. The guards were alarmed by the sight of her and rushed to her side to help her walk. When they brought her in to the main town she was brought to the medic. There they began to clean and then dress her wounds.

When the king found out what had happened he became angry. The thought of so many lives being taken in one evening made him feel sick. Brishen had not even asked permission to plan such an attack. If Brishen had asked then the answer would have been no. He had gone behind the king's back. Judith was surprised when she was told that, though it wasn't too hard to imagine Brishen doing such a thing. He was more focused on what he wanted rather than what others wanted. Unlike Brishen, the king knew how dangerous such an attack could be and how slim the chances of success were. Attacking the Dark Elves home? Brishen was a fool to even think of doing such a thing.

With fear of the main town falling growing, the king ordered a majority of the troops back home. He couldn't keep the main town safe with what little troops he had now. So many had been killed because of the attack. As far as Judith knew none had returned home yet. The king set up camps closer to home, if an attack were to occur then it wouldn't take too long for help to be on it's way. Though he changed many things to protect his people he had to assure them that everything was going to be fine.

It was a quiet night when Judith left her home. She was staying with her parents. It was night time and Judith seemed to be one of the little Light Elves out tonight. It seemed like the rest were all guards. The air was cool against her body and she wrapped her arms around herself. Vrine poked his head out from her pocket and squeaked to get her attention. Judith looked down at her pocket and raised an eyebrow. "You really are an attention whore," she mumbled. "You need to be quiet and you can't leave my pocket." Judith didn't want anyone else to know that she had a dragon. When she came back to the main town she told Vrine to hide somewhere temporarily she would come back for him. After she had healed and became stronger she went and found the little dragon then returned with him secretly. She placed her hand in the pocket and tickled Vrine's sides.

Over the past months she had began to train again with the bow. She couldn't allow herself to be unprepared when the main town was attacked. Everyone seemed to be preparing themselves for the worse, everyone was on edge. How else would they react to what had happened? The idea of the main town being overthrown was frightening. Judith had also thought about Rhyldrin over the months. She wondered where he was and hoped that it wasn't in the ground. At times she would wander close to the forest thinking that maybe he was there waiting for her. After some time she began to train and didn't have the time to go there anymore.

Judith brought herself to the wall of a home, she leaned against it and closed her eyes. She wasn't use to being up this late. Due to her training and frequent meetings with the king she slept whenever she could. Though tonight she just couldn't bring herself to sleep and Vrine seemed restless. He had been chirping at her for attention, she decided to take him out for a walk. The poor dragon didn't see too much of the world outside of her home.

Judith stood silently against the home for a few moments then her eyes shot open when she heard a strange noise. Her ears twitched, she was trying to see if she could hear it again. Vrine popped his head out of her pocket and looked up at her curiously, he moved his ears trying to hear what she had heard. Judith took her bow off of her back and then drew an arrow from her pouch. It sounded as if someone was there, though she couldn't tell where the noise had come from and as she looked around there were no guards. Her eyes nervously scanned the buildings around her. Was there an intruder?
