Actually... each book apparently ends with a bigger cliffhanger than the last. A lot of people were upset with book 5's ending (which just came out) since it was apparently a really cheap hook to try and get you to buy the next book... which may very well never be written. :|
I haven't read past book 3, though I have the other two waiting on my shelf. I'm not really in any hurry to ready them, though. :p
