Luca's teeth clenched together in anger in frustration, but he managed to keep his expression mostly neutral. There was nothing he wanted more than to be free of her command, well, besides her death, but that was a dangerous subject to think about while wearing the chain. He could already feel the nonphysical pain, the warning that his thoughts could lead him down the wrong path.

"I want my freedom. I am a vampire. A monster." He said, using her term for him. "We do not tolerate being controlled. It simply does not work." He wasn't sure what he was trying to say. He would not be weak enough to beg for his freedom, but if he could convince her through other means...

He held her gaze throughout this, but now, he finally broke his eyes away. "Didn't your mommy ever teach you not to try and cage wild animals?" He asked in a clipped voice.
