My orange cat is intelligent and it's not funny sometimes...
When is litter is full or no water or no food... he comes to me and do like a kid who wants something from mommy. He scratches gently my leg or arm until I ask what is it. Then I follow him until he stops in front of the problem...
And if there is no problem, it's just because he wants space on my lap XD.

Salem (the black) he's the shoulder cat. He just likes to be there.

I am the same... I also smell food before my girlfriend does XD.
I get headache with perfume and strong nasty smells.
