Lia smiled softly down at her, she was a strong one and that was exactly what Jude needed. She knew from experience that Jude was the type of person that couldn't handle someone weak, despite how gentle he was towards everyone, he could be cold, and he could be distant. Often getting lost in his own thoughts Jude sometimes wasn't good company. No one talked about it, and Jude claimed not to remember it, he pushed it into the back of his mind behind a locked door. But once upon a time, Jude had, had his heart broken. The very first time they'd come to the village, Jude had fallen for Lia's sister, Lia had tried countless times to warn him of her ways, she was what people thought of as dirty, she was someone who fumbled with adultery at a young age, she crushed the hearts of men at a whim, she was heartless, until she met Jude. It was hard for Lia to convince him of her real ways, because Jude thought she was gentle and cute. He'd crushed her, by telling her no, the first time she'd come on to him, and she spent the rest of her years spreading rumors around the village of who Jude was. They'd eventually passed away when Lia's sister had died of the plague a few years later. Jude couldn't handle someone who was soft now, because of that stupid girl. He'd been foolish to fall for him, and that's what drew him and Lia closer to become friends. Lia always looked out for him, even when Jude hadn't deserved it.
Jude smiled softly as he looked down at her, closing his eyes as he rested his head up against Lucy's, his arms lacing around her body slowly as he stood behind her, leaning down and gently kissing her neck. He closed his eyes and slowly touched his lips to her ear lobe, playfully nipping at it quietly. His eyes wandering around the store. He giggled softly in her ear, he was ticklish all over, it was odd, the way the simple touch made him giggle. He opened his eyes and pulled away. "The coat looks nice on you, and thank's Lia. " he said tossing a couple coins at Lia's head, grinning as he waved goodbye, taking her by the waist with one hand, and holding her hand with the other as he escorted her walking behind her. "So where would you like me to take you now, eh?" he asked softly. "Oh and yeah there is a school but since it's Sunday there isn't one running. But there is a small Library, later today you can read to the infants if you want." he noted as he glanced down at her.
"Everyone else is either asleep or having sex. I've been watching cable television and eating jello."
