As the blade bit deep into Asione's back, she cursed herself for thinking the woman might block her first hit rather than just dodge entirely. She bit her lip briefly to distract her from the new pain in her back, and then mumbled a spell quickly to not only light one of her swords aflame, but to also send a searing fireball towards her opponent.

"Do not expect everyone to fight for the same reasons," Asione answered sharply. "Just because one relishes combat does not mean that everyone feels the same. I fight to find the one I love, because I do not know if she is here or not."

Despite the woman having her eyes closed, Asione did not expect the fireball to hit her target, and prepared herself to jab as soon as the woman moved away from it.
