Quiet Man Cometh
We're all mad here.
For my own part, two of favourite books of all time, and relatively short and easy to read, are
Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus
by Mary Shelley, and
All Quiet on the Western Front
by Erich Maria Remarque.
If you happen to pick up
Frankenstein
and read the preface, don't let it scare you. There's rumour it was written by Percy Shelley adn it shows it. It's something of a pain to get through but the book itself is quite easy. I'd love to read more Erich Maria Remarque books but finding anything other than
All Quiet
that isn't either German or really expensive hardcover edition is proving very difficult. I've been keeping an eye out for years and have only found one other that I've yet to read, and I found that in my mom's massive book collection while sorting it.
Tea?
