Yeah, that seems to happen a lot. Not to mention, a lot of fantasy covers just look really cheesy and lame, and those covers by Darryl Sweet for the WoT are the cream of that crop. He seems to have thought that Perrin was a dwarf.

My favorite fantasy book cover ever is for the super-duper special $500.00 limited edition of Gardens of the Moon illustrated by Michael Komarck.

I SO wish I could afford that version. The artwork inside is nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Are there crazy-expensive illustrated editions of the WoT like that?
