Once the bell rang, Alex let out a small growl. He watched the other teacher leave the room before him. He was in no rush to see his students so he paused at the vending machine feeling that his caffeine buzz was slowly draining he bought a coke gingerly sipping it until students started to file into room 210 for their history lessons. He was glad that the first period was his regular students, the ones that many didn't see much of a bright future for out side of minimum wage.

The day passed with out much notice. Alex spent his lunch half on duty in the Cafateria and the other half in his class room helping his AP kids with their homework. His promise to them was as long as they had it done before class it would still count, if they needed help they could come get it at lunch.

At that point, Alex only had two more classes to teach and his seniors were usually sedated worried about getting into college or prom so it was safe to leave them to do their homework. In the back of his class room he kept corner to himself. There surrounded by ironic motivational posters, and time lines a brown dingy lazy boy. He flopped into the chair waiting for the last bell to ring.
