The only thing I've ever bought from Best Buy was a gently used videogame. It worked fine, and I recently sold it to GameStop because I got tired of playing it.

My dad has a personal vendetta against Geek Squad because he saw them severely screw over some of the people at the nursing home he worked for.

Apparently, they would come to hook up the internet to a resident's computer, and then the computer in question would suddenly have a virus. After all the person had been doing was play Solitaire since they got it. Then they would metaphorically hold the person up by the ankles and shake the money out of them while they 'fixed' it. They'd also screw around with any other equipment they could get their hands on while they were there. They also knocked huge holes in the walls when installing stuff. I saw those holes myself.

I let my cousin do any necessary repairs on my computer. He does internet security stuff for the government, so he has crazy awesome skills.
