The pearls are the event currency. For the most part, you get one per post during this event. You can buy items from the Event Shop with these.

The Aurum (silver coins, though why it's silver is beyond me) is the basic/main currency. You get that by posting/trading/whatever.

Runes are the donations currency. They're 1 USD per ten Runes. With these, you can buy items from the monthly shop or yearly shop, or some rare event items. Lots of users also use this as a currency for old EIs, DIs, art, etc. They're...kinda rare. Not a lot of people are willing to sell them for Aurum.

Anka Tokens are kind of new; they're based on Achievements, like posting a certain number of times, commenting, friends, etc. They're used to buy stuff in the Token Shop.
