Well, I did forget about beer. But beer smells nasty. Never tasted any so I can't comment on that. And I guess there's ale, and lagers... Why do I know so much about alcohol when I don't drink it is beyond me XD

And I don't know...maybe it's because they've been around a while and had good starting capital? Wine is serious business in France.
