Quiet Man Cometh
We're all mad here.

Heh. There are a few books that I'm working to get through soley through being stubbourn. I'm letting some of them go though. There are better things I could be doing with my time.
Atlas Shrugged is in our bookshelf. I've seen Ayn Rand around but haven't picked up the book yet. Another series I've seen around lately with the release of another book is Clan of the Cave Bear and the searies that comes with it (can't remember what it's called). One of the most amusing -to me- user names I've encountered was "Can of the Cave Beer." One of those things I'd wish I thought of. :)
As I've said before I like Martin's writing style, and I liked how he partitioned the chapters, but I had to ditch the book for dislike of the plot. I tried skipping over chapters and only reading those from the perspectives of characters that I liked but it took a lot away from the book and I decided it wasn't worth it. Gave the book to my aunt, who has an entire bookcase of fantasy, science fiction, and supernatural books. She's read all of Anne Rice and Anne McAffery repeatedly. I apologise to my book for the fate I've doomed it to, should my aunt get it in her head to read it. She's the type who reads books in the bath and they get steamed up when she doesn't drop them the odd time, and marks her place by folding the books in half and sticking them in her pocket. I'm incredibly anal about the condition of my books, and I can read something repeatedly and still have it look reasonably new.
