Mm, no problem, that's interesting to know. This sort of stuff will only really come up against demons or Rephaim, both of whom will take extreme amounts of physical punishment to take down. I imagine those'll at least do some damage. And like you said, they're light and easily portable. I imagine obliteration rounds... aren't quite so much. They probably require a modified weapon to even fire them.

On the other hand, if a psychic is shielding themselves against physical trauma, the amount of impact would certainly increase the strain of maintaining the shield, so those ought to be useful (to their full potential) in a fair few situations.
